Ishani laxmi started learning Carnatic music from the age of 6.
Ishani started her schooling at Kochi in Bhavans Vidya Mandir. She has been very active in the cultural activities in her school and participated in various competitions at her school and inter-school competitions.
She was recognized as ‘Kala Thilakam’ of the state Bhavans Fest twice during her stint in the school in Kerala.
She later relocated to Ahmedabad to class 5th in Divine international School.
She continues learning Carnatic music in Ahmedabad too.
She participated in various competitions in her school, inter-school and local club competitions.
She bagged the Voice of the year 2017 in her school in Ahmedabad.
She also was awarded ‘Voice of Ahmedabad’ by a local club in Ahmedabad.
She was a winner (1st Place) in State level AIMA Voice (All india Malayalee Association) in 2018.
She also went on to achieve 1st runner up in the AIMA Voice Zonal competition at Mumbai.She later competed AIMA Voice finals at Kochi and was recognized as Top 6 in the race.
She not only has her proficiency in Malayalam but also sings in Hindi, English, Tamil and Gujarati.A
